Why females always adjust their hair around me?
Okay do you mind expanding on S team approval? If you have information..
You now need approval from your entire management chain all the way up to an S-Team member to wfh. This impacts those that were remote prior to COVID as well.
Basically roughly 20 SVPs at Amazon. Mostly the head of major orgs (Alexa, Advertising, AWS) and a few higher ups within those orgs.
If you want to WFH once offices resume, you will need an exception and approval from S team leader
Some BS, my wife is a Nurse on a Covid Floor and I’ll quit before I come back because I won’t put my coworkers at risk.
I thought you got a divorce Jeff Bezos.... or shall I say Jifff Bezos
Secret Marriage 😉
Well well well!
When is return to office?
What about roles where the team is distributed around the world? Will they want people to recongregate to a central location like Seattle or hq2?
I assume that teams that were remote pre-covid, will stay that way. We shall see, I have been in a remote team for 2 months now and everyone has been remote for years
Those teams will need s-team approval now as per the new policy.
What if you work remotely from say Biloxi, Mississippi? Would they need to find an Amazon office close to Biloxi even if it means driving out of state?
Handing out PIPs over chime isn’t as fun I guess
Ok, I literally laughed out loud when I read this. Thanks. Ha ha.
Those poor managers…being forced to use Chime. Nobody should go through that.
Thats why Amazon was not publishing any data dor WFH survey
That sucks. Unless you’re a leader or an employee feels they need to, why wouldn’t tech companies want to promote hybrid work arrangements? It’s so much better for productivity, work-life harmony, traffic, the environment, etc. Also it’s not like Amazon is big on culture. So why do people need to be in the office?
It allows for micromanaging
> Why do people need to be in the office? Cos it’s easier to be toxic in person than in remote. Isn’t that Amazon’s thing?
