Failed a job interview at Amazon, just wondering if I will be blacklisted from all future opps or if there is a waiting period of some kind before I should apply to other posts? Appreciate any feedback, thank you.
Nah, just wait 6 months +
Just reapply to other groups and/or get referred. If your profile matches you'll get a new shot
Typically 6 months for candidates who were close but just didn’t meet the bar. For somebody who totally bombed it, maybe 1 year. Ask recruiter for a feedback on what areas to improve - coding, problem solving, algorithms and data structures, efficiency, accuracy, speed, etc.
Was this phone screen or onsite
Was a phone screen 🤦♂️, I got a bit rusty and too nervous and i think affected my confidence.
I thought there is no freeze after phone screen
Waiting period of either 6 months/1 year/2 years depending on how you did. Can ask your recruiter when you can apply again
They never got back to me, they just updated the jobs dashboard. I'm surprised why they let you wait or have opinion of one interviewer affect one person's future prospect with this large organization.
