Don’t get me wrong. Amazon is still the worst employer which nobody wants to work for. But actually it is not that bad in case of PIP. Not any more. They piped no more than 10%. While Meta, Uber , DoorDash definitely have higher pip rate. Meta is 15%? Uber 10%? DoorDash 10%? Not to mention sudden fire without even perf review. So for people can’t find a job elsewhere, Amazon actually offers some stability? You can rest and best? I think pip rate is a data metric to indicate that.
where are you getting these metrics ?
Everybody talks about them but they are not official
That just sounds like picrel with extra steps
Amazon ki Ma ka Bho*da
Amazon is 6%
That’s fine right?
Some people leave themselves if they feel bad
Think your spell check is changing vest to best..
Amazon PIPs about 12% with the aim of 6% URA. Unless Meta actually *fires* 15% you're not talking apples to apples.
12% is a little bit high
But still fine
I just saw an article today about leaked hr docs showing elevated pip numbers as of late.
Let me debunk your myth here. My team had 8 people in 2022 and now 2 are left. 3 were laid off and 3 went through the pip process. The other survivor was once on focus and I might be in trouble soon. They hire, fire, and rehire. It’s unpredictable, I’ve enjoyed my time here but sad to see how things have progressed. I’m in Amazon retail org
lol
So the manager is a psycho?
Can confirm, me and neighboring teams experience for PIP is over 10% and mostly unjustified.
😶
PIP is literally 7%.
Is it because no one joins Amazon?
Maybe. But at least they can rest and best
