Amazon is leading in workforce reduction in entire Tech
As per this article, even though Amazon layoff people talk about is 27,000 , but Amazon has actually reduced Headcount by 67,000 from its peak. This is the highest reduction not just in Tech, but entire S&P 500. It could be mainly on Warehouse workers, but that also indicates that Amazon is reducing business. But the other side of the truth is I still see tons of people from Amazon leaving voluntarily. My experience with AWS is you can only survive on average 2 years there. https://archive.is/HU63P

I think they are trying to push out a lot based on pip and RTO too
Not in terms of percentage of workforce dropped though.
