Amazonians are soon going to recieve their compensation statements and are going to realize Amazon has reduced compensation significantly this year. Now they're going to give half the usual $ value of RSUs so employees don't benefit from the depressed stock price. Basically your compensation bands are reducing. As if being a sweatshop isn't enough. As if hiring pschopaths into manager roles isn't enough. As if pay wasn't already in the toilet due to the stock crash. Leave now Amazonians. I did. Almost any other company in the world is better than Shitazon. Edit: proof from the Amazon blind channel attached. Idiot shills from Amazon are out in full force trying to deny this. Amazon is not cutting base pay so to get to 25% compensation reduction, they're cutting RSU grants in half.

Why is our country owned by Israel? I don't want my tax dollars fund genocide. How can we stop this nonsense?
Brother worked in Amazon for 12 years. His wife was going through some medical problems. Took a month off leave. Next quarter, his review was does not meet expectations and was PIP
Looks like you’re burnt pretty bad by Amazon
Looks like you’ve Stockholm Syndrome
I left before they got a chance but the sort of crap I saw Amazon pull is unbelievable. The people in charge (Jassy et al) are literally white collar crooks.
Amazon did not change the compensation policy. So, no surprise here. Because of the stock price, most of us will have an impact this year. I am not happy with that like everybody, but I knew the risk of having a big part of the compensation on RSU. I guess this is a personal choice to accept or move on. Both are acceptable.
They did change the policy. There is a 25% haircut in OY2. This was not the case previously.
You're wrong whyho45. They have changed their compensation policy and are going to give half the usual RSU $ value this cycle. This has nothing to do with the stock crash idiot. They are literally giving out 50% of the usual RSU value this cycle. That's the whole point of this post.
Most of the comments in this thread are inaccurate
Which ones?
Everything. Seems to be written by desperate and frustrated individuals. If you have the balls, create a company like amazon and your own sweet teddy culture to differentiate it.
Yes stock has gone down since last March. Hence, Tc will be lower this year. If higher next year, will be higher next year.
That's not what is happening. They have changed their compensation policy and are going to give half the usual RSU $ value this cycle. This has nothing to do with the stock crash. They are literally giving out 50% of the usual RSU value this cycle.
That’s not true
Yes this is happening. Also, there are still Amazonians who keep denying this is happening despite comp planning being finalized today and all the numbers are confirming it. I guess they’ve decided to show up here and comment and say it’s not true. Rest assure they’ve been fully roasted for being idiots in the internal channel
Thank you. I just don't understand why people want to shill for any company. Just say what it is is and move on.
What is the channel name so I can confirm
The question “where can I get a better deal?” is hard to answer atm. Tier 1, 2 companies are not hiring, tier 3 may end up paying even less than this haircut. So yeah, emotionally we all want to get out but on practice the comp will drop regardless whether you leave or stay. Amzn pragmatically is counting on this.
Make a note of what Amazon did and don't forget. Leave as soon as you can. The issue is the extent to which Amazonians defend even the shittiest Amazon decision - Stockholm Syndrome at its finest. Just look at this thread. If you deny reality just to feel good about yourself, no one can help you better yourself.
You are also evoking emotional response in your comments. If someone is on a team with OK load and decent manager it can be more rational to stay. There might be no better TC out there for a couple of years.
If the stock goes down, they give fewer stocks.. ok upside, I get it. But if the stock goes up, they don't give more stocks?
Even the first point is really employee hostile…forcing you to bet the market is wrong?! That is super scummy.
agree
Source?
All the Amazon SDMs in my network. I worked there for 6 years and know a ton of people. Some of them have also posted this on the Amazon channel. You can check it out there too.
