Hi folks, at the moment applying for a role in Amazon, I passed the first interview with the hiring manager and just yesterday had a 2nd interview for technical assessment. Just today I found out in their job application site, my application status changed from "Under Consideration" back to "Application Submitted". Anyone had insight on what it could be? Or does anyone had different experience as what I am thinking now as my application has been rejected?
Consider yourself lucky if they reject you. Why do you want Amazon?
It seems like a good role. And why not! :)
Amazon has a bad reputation and notorious for how they treat their employees. They hand out PIPs like candies on Halloween. But if that's the company you want, all the best.
Most stories I've read about this happening is that you're no longer being considered but have been placed back into the pool for consideration for another role.
I will keep you updated on what's happening
You ever find out?
When I got my offer my status changed from under consideration -> application submitted-> moved to another job -> offer
This gives me a glimpse oh hope.. Although did it change to application submitted again after final onsite or during 1st/2nd assessment?
After the final interview
Hi OP. Can you give us an update? I am in in the same boat.
Hi, what finally happened?

Don’t think to much into it. In fact I’ve heard people’s application go into no longer under consideration after they pass the onsite. As long as your recuriter said you passed the initial screen you should be fine
I had similar situation mid last year where I passed initial and technical screen and got onsite interview with 4 peoples. At the end the answer is no. But I was not maniacally checking the portal job status as the current application..
Yeah don’t worry about it man. Just put your focus on the interview. It’s already stressful enough without having to worry about other things.
