I'm interviewing for AWS. It seems like new hires aren't getting sign on bonuses according to levels.fyi? Can anyone verify? How does equity work at AWS? Any recent hires care to explain how vesting/bonuses work? Thank you!
That’s cap, I got an offer in November and there was a sign on
Amazon still has their backloaded stocks + sign on idk what ur smoking
Sign on is a major part of the compensation, like >50% of your first 2 years salary are from sign on. So I doubt you don’t get it.
Amazon doesn’t have bonuses
Why reply when you have no idea what you are talking about? Amazon gives bonuses in the first two years that make up for the relatively smaller stock vests for those years. It makes it so your comp is almost all cash for the first two years, then switches to stock/cash for years three and beyond.
I wouldn't call it a sign on bonus, though. It's different from what every other company calls a sign on bonus.
What bonuses you mean, sir? You can take bananas near Sphere
We have signing bonus. Which are usually covered in first 4 years with Amazon.
2 years, singing bonus covers the 1st 2 years.
How about dancing ones?
Sign on is part of total compensation, I doubt if anyone don’t get it. But there is (or should) no bonus (out of TC) if you are talking about the annual bonus based on the performance.
Not true I got an offer and it had a sign up bonus
How much?
Wrong it is offered
Not surprised. They have a pretty large pool of people to choose from, who’ll work for a bowl of rice just to keep their H1B.
Rice.
🤣
