That’s way past the band for delivery driver or warehouse associates. Can’t say for the other levels/roles unless you add that to the post.

I had a similar situation bringing on an internal candidate to my team. I received an initial compensation recommendation to approve. I submitted a request to increase. Comp team came back with a lower recommendation. The bar is so low that folks are incompetent. It's fucking pathetic.

It was an error. They then came back with the original offer and said there is no justification to adjust. My L8 had approved to adjust higher. HR is trash at Amazon.

From VP in AMA: There have been number of complaints of pay disparity for new hires vs tenured, so amazon is taking steps to reduce by not going beyond the band and try to keep with in 80 percent of band range and there can be exceptions with right level of approvals.
