I had an on-site on Friday and today I got this e-mail: “Thank you for your time on Friday, I shall reach out to you tomorrow with the details of the Friday’s discussion and next steps. Thank you!” Is it just me or does it sound optimistic? Why would they want to discuss next steps if it didn’t go well? I’m going crazy 🤦🏻♂️
More probably it is fine. Usually reject is simple email
Not at on-site. It should always be a call
Selection team need to meet and discuss your results, debrief. This email only informs you of when to expect your next update
If you would have cleared it they would have said we are interested to move fwd or use adjectives like feedback look great so far etc. For this one don’t get your hopes high.
I got the same email when I was interviewed with Amazon for a SDE role. The HR called me next day that everything looks great but they want to evaluate more on system design and then I had another round of system design.
What do you do if you're from out-of-state?
Most likely virtual using Chime
What did this end up being?
Thanks! Non-engineering role
