All the people complaining about this, believe me: we all want the local coffee shop to stay in business. None of us are evilly stroking our white cat thinking “I can’t wait for more shitty brewed office slop, screw that artisanal local espresso I had earlier and their delicious scones. I’ve got a cereal dispenser and 10 year old ground beans in an industrial steel coffee pot to eat!” Amazon knows they have to help out or we will all riot if the local lunch spots all close down.
Because they don't offer free lunch and they need these shops to provide cheap meals for their employees

Absurdities of the Bay Area 😒
Killing small business on the macro scale but concerned about small business on the micro scale? Wtf Amazon make up your mind.
Damned if they do, damned if they don't! 😂
More than 50%(58% to be precise) of their retail business is 3rd party sellers who are essentially SMBs. Thats over $160Bn merchandise sales through Amazon. Over 2 million SMBs sell on Amazon, 1.6 million jobs created by those SMBs. There are people who have started their business from ground up just on Amazon and gone on to sell globally, thanks to Amazon's massive customer base. What exactly is your point? Sure enough bunch of retailers have felt the pinch, but overall the disruption it has caused can be claimed a net positive.
