Amazon package is showing as delivered but I have not received. Has anyone filed a police complaint?
My apartment package department says they have not received the package. Amazon said they can't issue the package as customer is at the risk of loss after delivery. There has been several instances where UPS people just drop off the package in the locker room and I didn't receive text/email notification from package concierge. Amazon told me to file a police complaint to pursue this matter. Has anyone faced this issue? #misc

I often receive notification from Amazon that a package was delivered when in reality the package was delivered to the post office for last mile delivery and it turns up a few days later.
I've never had an issue with Amazon refunding me for a misdelivered package. I'm a prime member, it happens relatively often actually. Or it feels like it. Anyway, you should ask for money back, they have insurance for that and are supposedly customer obsessed.
Call amazon and they’ll refund you
Ofcourse I have already called Amazon twice. They confirmed to file a complaint with local authorities (police) and they told they can't refund or provide a replacement as the package is showing delivered and it might have been lost after delivery
That's absolutely ridiculous, they've refunded me numerous times after delivery. Try the chat and escalate.
Looks like you work for amazon. Cut an internal ticket about this. This should never happen and is against our LP.

What kind of package was it? Anything expensive? Has happened to me too but Amazon always sends a new one. I am a prime member for 5+ years. Don't know if it makes a difference.
I was also a prime member when the item was ordered and the time I first reported the issue. I recently cancelled my prime membership yesterday. It's not expensive. Less than $30 but I don't want to get away with it because this is happening for the second time. My previous package that was lost was $70. My apartment or my Amazon has to compensate my loss
they don’t give employees free Prime membership?
