How much amazon prime costs for employee? Is there a discount for them?
Wtf, seriously?
Amazon pays well. Why do you care about a hundred something? This is hilarious
Employees get 10% off the first $1000 each year spent on Amazon (doesn’t apply to products from 3rd party sellers). So, basically, it’s a $100 / year in value.
Jeff will send u free pictures too
Honestly - is the reason Amazon has less benefits than Google / Microsoft / Facebook is that is such a massive employer, and these benefits would have to be extended through the whole company, beyond just SWEs and other high paying, white collar roles.
I prefer less silly benefits for better stock value. The benefits are there if you look for them. Amazing campus art lab. Always plenty of food and drinks. Lots of work flexibility. Incredible company conferences if you make time to attend. Fishbowls and authors and artists. Free classes. Most Amazonians don’t take advantage and make the most of the experience of being there because they’re “too busy.” But taking time for yourself and overall development is not only rewarded, it pays off in the long run personally. Free breakfast would be cool but I’d rather have stocks and opportunities.
Amazon isn’t Google
