"I just wanted to reach out one final time. Please forgive my persistence, but our Amazon Engineering team is very interested in you and we feel your skillsets could have a large impact in our organization." Says a recruiter for the fifth time THIS week. But if you interview and join they'll treat you like dogshit. Not to mention a recruiter from like every other team keeps pinging me and I guess everyone of you with these spam emails. I am happy to be subject to this honestly, because there was a time when I would get no emails from companies. But why does Amazon hire so aggressively only to fire us in less than six months? What is this strategy? "Oh our Echo Dot Ring Square String team is really interested in you pls join uwu" -> six months later: "Go back to your tier-3 company" TC: 200k 0yoe at Microsoft
Hire to fire strategy? Are you sure this exist? I hope you know how much resources (time, money etc.) are invested for a hire. I think you concluded a bit early with your 0Yoe that such strategies exist. I’d be surprised if such strategy exist at tech companies.
I'm not saying this is what they intend to follow. I'm saying whatever they are following ends up being like this for engineers
Okay. I may have misunderstood. Apologies
The PIP grinder must feeeeed 😇
They hand out PIPs on the recruiting team, too. Gotta hit your weekly target outreach numbers, hence all the spam.
