What is standard amazon relocation package? Anything specific I should be asking for? Moving from the Midwest, current homeowner
There are two options. Pretty standard. Lump sum or a whole package where they move you inlc 1 month on CORp housing (2 if you own/sell place). Nothing negotiable. If you take a whole package but end up not using CORP housing they will give you cash for that. Amazon will cover taxes for some of those expenses. Lump sum is 15k minus taxes. You are responsible for paying back the prorated portion of your move if you leave before 2 year mark.
Prorated portion only applies if you leave before the 1 year mark
Lump sum and package varies by level.
Congrats — good luck buying a home for under a million
Oh come on! You can buy a 350 square foot studio for around $750k!
whereabouts in the midwest?
Wisconsin
Epic?
Don't ask what Amazon can do for you. Ask what you can do for Amazon.
Literally sprayed water ! So funny 😆
Do they provide relocation lump sum for new grad too?
Yeah but domestic relocation does not pay as much. I am assuming as a new grad they aren't moving you to a new country.
Did Amazon cover for the Realtor fee when you sold the house? Or did the 6% have to go out of your pocket?
I have the same question. I don’t see it in my L6 package and disappointed. Anyone know if this can be negotiated?
Did you get your 6% back? I’m wondering the same thing as it is not specified in my relocation package.
Does Amazon pay relo even if you don't have to relo?
No company would pay for relocation if you are not really relocating.
Capital one does.
Make sure that you get good health insurance that covers a good psychiatrist, you’re going to need one to help you cope with all that rain.
Better then constant snow and negative temps
In all seriousness congrats though! Amazon is an awesome company to work for. I’m not sure what’s typical for relo at amazon, just be weary of clauses where you have to repay it if you leave voluntarily etc
