Amazon research scientist levels
Can anyone help me tell which level a RS job with 5+ years of training industry experience and machine learning experience ? Basically if talking about jobid 615960: thanks!

I'm not familiar with research scientist role at Amazon, but I think applied scientists earn the same or more than SDEs of same level. So L5 applied scientist would be over $200k maybe $250k TC. Just my guess. That's for Seattle
5 yrs exp most probably level to L5. Don’t worry about what the job description says, the hiring manager can decide your fit
I’m an l5 applied scientist with a PhD + 1 year. 267$ TC
Applied scientists usually make a bit more than research scientists, but also have to pass the coding bar in interviews and are usually excepted to write production code
Lol, at production code. Our applied scientists are primadonnas who write proof of concept code and give it to engineers to productionize it. Although they should do it if they followed their job description
That job is L6. Applied scientists start at L4, I assume it's the same for research scientists. If you have 5yrs of experience, you would probably get L5
