If I've decided to leave Amazon, do I need to give the notice period before two weeks? Can I give one week's notice? There aren't much tasks on my hands and hence there is no need to transfer or transition.
it’s at-will employment. You are not liable to give or serve any notice period if you don’t want to. But as a courtesy you should try to serve 14 days if you can.
In my last company I got to give KT on something I did in very initial days. It’s not just about current tasks.
No rules. A coworker literally walked out. Manager was new and didn’t know what was going on/liked him. 1.5 years later he reapplied and is currently working there again.
In my last company I gave 8 days because my new company wanted me to start ASAP and salary was bigger. I documented all my job and stay available for 2 weeks after to ensure a smooth transition.
I gave 2 weeks notice and was walked out with that 2 weeks of pto. Should have given 3 weeks notice .
There's still time to get PIPed, it's a big chunk of money. At least $23k+ for L5
This honestly is the best plan. Draws out time to look for other jobs.
How to get PIPed without being a total a**hole ?
I gave 1 week notice when i quit amazon
I’ve given 2 weeks before and was walked out with 2.5 weeks PTO. Lol. I wasn’t “technically” going to a competitor. They were just upset that I wanted to leave after 1.5 years of working 80 hours a week at very low salary 😂😂
I am still in process of visa transfer. It was filed 5 days back. Just not sure if it's safe to give my notice?
Give 2 weeks, that’s standard to not burn bridges. That gives you chance to enjoy the honeymoon period
