Currently in the process of doing a career change from data analytics to software development. I already have a bachelors and a masters and am currently working full time but will be going back to school in the fall for Georgia Tech’s OMSCS part time. I expect to be halfway done with the program by the time the internship is coming to an end but I wanted to know if a return offer would be contingent on graduating or would I be able to transition to full time when the time comes? Already have an offer for sde internship at Amazon. Did all of the leetcode grinding, projects, data structures, algos, and what not. Didn’t mean to offend, it’s just your comment was completely irrelevant to what was I asking… also name calling? Really?
Completing OMSCS will not prepare you to become an SDE. I'm in my last class in OMSCS and also trying to transition from data analytics to SDE. You're better off working on a side project, taking an algorithm class, learning one programming language, a data structures class, and leetcoding. It is much faster. I'm planning to leetcode after I graduate.
