Leaked memo says Amazon will start to run out of warehouse workers by 2024. Will this affect corporate culture that doesn’t care about attrition?
SWEs to work a day/week at warehouse or PIP!
Doordash style I see
Happy to do that
Swe at day, warehouse worker at night!
I wouldn’t be surprised. Email blasts always go out during peak asking FTE to volunteer time at the warehouses. Not even for pay.
Lol what a joke. If they’re serious just mandate it 1 day/wk in warehouse and 4 day/wk in office. Or allow volunteers to skip office to go to the warehouse, and reward with promo. But none of this makes any sense. SWE shouldn’t waste their talents by working in a warehouse.
Actually, there is cash bonus for signing up additional work hours in Warehouse
That wall they’ve been building certainly helped 🙄
Amazon has one of the best benefits for warehouse workers compared to their competition, at least in the US. I know very many who actually have transferred out of warehouse jobs to corporate and are doing really well. So if amazon runs out, I am sure others will as well and amazon certainly has a leg up on others in terms of robotics / automation.
I thought we are overstuffing for warehouse workers rn.
