What's it like to work on a special secret project at Amazon? Received an offer and manager describes it as the next big thing but doesn't reveal details. Is it a good career move to work on something new that has scope of impact but has this uncertainty built in? What happens if the project is not successful, RIF?
Listen dude, if it was REALLY super special, do you think they would be recruiting you? The answer is no, they wouldn't. They are trying to make you feel special so they can work you 75 hours a week.
Working on a secret project does mean you aren't supposed to tell *anyone* *anything* about it. Manager probably won't tell you until you're on board already...
