Been at Amazon for less than a year and thinking about leaving for another company. Do I have to return the entire sign on bonus and the relocation or just divide it by how many months I've been there and return whats left for the remaining months? Also do we have to return the pre taxed amount or the post tax? TC: 203k YOE: 0.7 #amazon #amazonbonus #amazoncompensation
Did you read your paperwork? Paid 200k a year....
So I was lucky enough to have a lot of offers last yr and I noticed that they all say the same thing about returning all of the bonus but a friend of mine left one of those companies 4 months into the job and they didn't make him return the whole amount and he returned the post tax amount, so I'm curious to know what people have experienced while leaving amazon.
Again OP it is stated in your paperwork you signed. I would tell because I handle a lot of it but come on at least try.
No return
Prorated pre tax amount is what they’ll ask you to return
Prorated. What’s yours is yours. Usually you only need to pay back lumsum.
Thats good to hear. Thanks
