I joined aws one month ago, and recently a manager reached out on slack to offer me a team change from aws to Amazon. I had an introductory call with the manager and really liked the team and am considering the opportunity. How bad can it be if I change teams in one month and how do I talk to my current manager about this.
Lol there's a reason the manager reached out to you, because everyone left their team for being so toxic. Don't say no one warned you.
Unless you have a really good reason to change, don’t. You will burn bridges if you leave so soon. Think carefully before you do it.
Ain't there 1 year minimum stay period rule before team change?
Not really
Did the manager mention why they reached out to you? How did they know you are a good fit to the team when you barely have any experience at Amazon?
She was looking for someone with financial experience and my past was in that industry.. So she found me via LinkedIn and reached out on slack
Yep. Could be a case of internal poaching. Never heard in 1 month. Very extraordinary. Most companies have 1-2 years waiting period
Op, Did you finally change the team
