Amazon team matching
Interviewed with amazon around 20 days ago for an sde-2 position. Recruiter told I did well on all rounds except system design, they decided to down-level me to sde-1 and they don't have any sde-1 openings in their team, so he referred me to an internal talent acquisition leader to match my profile to an open position. It has been two weeks but I haven't heard back, let alone about positions but not even a sync up call to talk about my experience, areas of interest. Did anyone face this issue and how likely am I to get a team? Y.O.E - 4.5, all at cerner working on legacy, age old tech stack #amazon #recruitment #teammatching
I’m in similar situation. Been in team matching for about 6 weeks. There seems to be a lot of us sde1s in team matching right now judging by the posts on blind.
is your recruiter constantly in touch? in my case, I'm just being ghosted
Whats your guys TC in the offer / split? I am receiving an SDE2 offer don’t wanna be downleveled. Mind sharing?
offer letter hasn't been given, so no TC details yet
Avoid joining. Instead use that as competing offer to match.
SDE 1 positions are more rare

Have you received an update? I’m very much in a similar position as you. I received verbal offer for SDE I in nyc. I have 4.5 YOE so they downleveled me too without any feedback really. They originally told me there was a spot open but then a day later they said it’s no longer available and they will look for different teams for me. I’m hoping I won’t be left stranded

Same boat. I've been waiting for 2 months. Recruiter told me that they don't have L4 positions at the moment.

Well, I was told that they don't have any open positions and they will let me know when they have something. I kinda moved on.
