Rumors going around that they are thinking about it. This would add to their powerhouse Amazon studios and allow for greater reach.
Source?
Antitrust committees would break that up real quick
The ones that let Facebook buy Instagram? I'm not sure they would block anything anymore
Instagram was a 1 billion startup company while Facebook was a 100 billion company. Netflix is a 100 billion market incumbent company while Amazon is 1.5 trillion. Get some perspective
Taking one out of the Trump playbook. “They say” blah blah blah.
Unfortunately, both Amazon and Netflix cancel shows.
I heard another rumor that musk is buying both amazon and Netflix
I heard a rumor that Netflix is acquiring Amazon and Elon Musk
I heard Musk is buying Trump and all rights to his hairdo
Doesn’t make sense - not for antitrust reasons , but because Amazon has nothing to gain from acquiring Netflix.
Easier to buy customers and market share then go out and acquire. Buying takes months, acquiring takes years.
No you don’t understand; Prime video is not a money maker at Amazon and is not expected to be - it’s a funnel to get people into prime. They have already reached saturation there in terms of households in the us , so acquiring Netflix doesn’t really help.
That would be pretty based.
Where is the info coming from?
If that happens, the transition would go on very smoothly. Netflix anyways runs everything on S3
Hehe, prime video isn’t even ran on public / native AWS
Yeah, I didn't know that einstein
