University grad job in Amazon asks for knowledge in any one language. But I got to know that you will be assigned to a random project. I heard from my friends who joined recently that one got assigned with Java and another node.js. They never ask them it seems. How do one cope if they are assigned to a project where you don’t know that language? #Amazon #sde #softwareengineer #engineering #software #swe
Just learn from doing. I never wrote one line of Java code before joining here. It’s not that hard.
Ability to bear PIPs on the go.
I could work for a year, get pipped, and then sit on my ass and LC for 6 months and still make 2x more than you did in that year and a half. How does that feel?
Amazon is the easiest company to ever get into.. at least for me... What are you even talking about.. ? Looks like got pissed, on that pip rant.. take care man..
Learn on the job it’s literally what this field requires you to do. Most languages are similar in how they work you just have to learn the syntax
Got it.
Lol carings about (modern) language is such a new grad thing
I wouldn't want to touch PHP
SWE is about applying software to solve problems. Not becoming and expert in every programming language. You should have the tools to apply general programming constructs in any language, regardless of experience in that specific language. Have faith in yourself
Got it. Thanks
