Amazon vs Microsoft (India) - Need help
Hi Blinders, Need your help to choose one between Amazon and Microsoft. TC is same in both (~50L). YOE ~ 7 Amazon level - SDE2 team - Ads Microsoft level - L62 team - Azure Data center Things to consider 1. Work life balance - Need help. Generally Microsoft is having good WLB, how's Azure Data center team? 2. Learning/Experience - Learning wise Amazon seems to be better, but need valuable inputs from Azure floks 3. TC is does not matter since it almost same 4. Hike and RSU - Need help here also, how much can I expect in both places Help me to choose between two. Thanks in advance. My friend at 2 yoe got ~55L/year at amazon for SDE-2 role. He didn't have any competitive offer and previous CTC was 35L. If CTC and learning are the priorities, join amazon after negotiating for 60L+. If WLB and job security is more important for you, join Microsoft.
Learning is important for me. Heard msft azure has alot to learn. Is it true?
In general from what I have heard from friends in Amazon and Microsoft, Amazon is more fast paced and has more learning. Some of my friends are working in Azure as well which is also almost equivalent in learning. But, I will bet on Amazon on learnings front. On side note, teams can easily be changed in Amazon... Far easier than Microsft...
