Amazon vs Nvidia Offers - New Graduate

I am going to graduate in June 2022. I got offers from Amazon and Nvidia. I have worked as a software intern in both companies. Amazon - SDE TC - 26.5L Base - 15.5L Signing bonus - 9.5L first year, 6L second year Relocation - 1.5L RSUs - 13L (5%, 15%, 40%, 40%) Team - Search Science and AI Location - Bangalore Nvidia - SSE TC - 22.75L Base - 15.5L Signing bonus - 3L RSUs - 17L (25% each year) Team, Location - Not decided yet. In my opinion, there is not much pay difference if we look at compensation for 2 years. I want to know what will be the best choice in terms of work culture and future career opportunities. It would be really helpful in deciding if people can also add the reason in the comments. #nvidia #amazon #software #engineering

Nvidia has best rating on blind pulse. I trust blind pulse. I have also experienced that the culture @Nv is amazing. I would highly recommend you to join Nv

I was in a very similar situation last year as a new grad Had Nvidia, Microsoft, Amazon (Alexa team) and a startup, all for new grad All salaries were similar, and Nvidia had the highest offer (because it was an IC2 offer) with Microsoft and Amazon close behind. The huge variable here is the team matching at Nvidia - you'll not know for sure which team you'll end up in Most of the NCGs ended up at good teams, a few ended up in slow/boring teams. I would still take these chances against Amazon's horrible (talking about an average person's experience) work culture. Microsoft just didn't excite me as almost all new grad experiences weren't great, with a lot of SWE new grads being pulled into Azure Ops teams last year and the year before. Discussed a lot with experienced folks who are in the teams/orgs that I had the offer with. If I had to travel back in time and choose again, I would still choose Nvidia over the other offers. In the end, it's only temporary again. You can easily switch out after a few months or stick to a year before changing again Nvidia has a really good brand name BTW, so you wouldn't have any issues getting recruiter calls for SWE roles later, if needed. Congrats on your offers by the way! 💯 There's no wrong choice with the offers that you have, you'd do well in both for your first job!

SSE is the same as SDE It's just the same term for all SDEs in Nvidia, so no issues at all Even a few of the research engineers are SSEs on paper
