Join Amazon asap. Immigration doesn’t take 2-3 days here. It will take you 10 days if you are lucky.
Verizon gives much worse long-term tech prospects. They just do tech poorly all around.
Not sure why Amazon is paying so less for L5, but long term career Amazon will look much better on your resume because you’ll get better experience
If Data Science, definitely amazon.

Verizon just announced a giant reorg of the global tech services this afternoon (along with many other services functions). I would not join Verizon after this announcement. It will be chaos. Basically everyone who is not core to network business is on the list for layoffs…
For future and job safety, both are good. From wlb and comp perspective, I would vote Verizon.
