What’s the product management culture like at Zillow vs Amazon? Lots of Amazon PM work is mostly project management, it’s hard to find true PM roles (even in the PMT job family). Is Zillow similar or more traditional product? The market is still crap and there may be more layoffs. At many parts of Amazon it’s a layoff fear culture where your management chains constantly pressures you to deliver even more or faster, or risk being laid off. What’s it like at Zillow currently? How’s WLB? Growth-wise, I’m at a team in Amazon that doesn’t generate revenue directly, it’s an enablement function, so long-term professional growth potential is limited, but there are opportunities to pick up ML skills. The Zillow offer I’m considering is focused on customer-facing CX optimization, which can result in measurable business impact and lead to faster growth, no opportunities to work cool tech in this role though. Is moving to Zillow worth it to try to get to Principal faster than I can at Amazon? Current TC: $300k (L6)
I am interested in a Zillow referral if anyone can refer me
