Time and time again it is shown that the worst performers are Amazon new hires who are expected to be "bar raisers" yet actually end up bottom 5% and PIPed. Overwhelmingly is it new joiners that are getting PIPed so more scrutiny is needed to ensure new joiners actually meet the bar in job performance. Proposal: Make sign on bonus conditional on clearing 1st year with TT rating. If no TT then no sign on bonus. This enforces "hire and develop the best" by rewarding new top talent while making zero-talent job hoppers get what they deserve: shit. Keep stock vesting schedule the same and have the non-TTs prove themselves through years of tenure.
You are a new EM with full of enthusiasm. Ain’t you?
You must be from Finance. Then you should understand this saying: TC OR GTFO 😡
Is “joiners” an Indian term? I never hear anyone else use that
Yes even "freshers"
This can be better if hiring is made right … If new hires aren’t performing well - u made a mistake in hiring them - own it
But at low of the band good talent won't even apply
Not all good talent is receiving top tier pay.
Isn’t it already difficult enough to find people willing to work for Amazon
Dude, how can I block inMails from Amazon and Contract recruiters? It’s freaking annoying! Lol
My headline: Not interested in Amazon (as a millionaire)
So a new sde2 tc would be 160k base + 5% stock + 20%(chance of TT)*sign on. Anyone would join with that? You should be PIPed not diving deep to your shit proposal.
Ignoring the shit proposal, my homie here with shit writing skills. Years at Amazon did not help you level up your writing skills. You deserve to be pip’ed.
I edited the typos sorry gramma baby🙄
Where’s the blind tax? 🤔
Makes sense because older people are those who already figured out how to game the system to avoid being pipped, and so they tend to survive next round of pips.
Maybe the old timers should be promoted or be top of band….
