Is it a good time to join American Airlines as a Senior Analyst - Data Analytics? This would mean I relocate from IL to TX. Given how much travel industry was impacted by pandemic and the macroeconomic situation, I am just hesitant to accept the offer. Currently on H1B visa and potentially need a GC sponsorship. Any thoughts/opinions/views would be greatly appreciated. #dataanalytics #americanairlines #career Base Salary: 110k YoE: 4 years
Which department is this role in?
its a good stable job , slow growth but good culture . Visa wise they have a great success rate and do sponsor gcs . I would negotiate salary upfront , dont expect attractive raises after you join.
Thank you for your advice. This helps.
Don't join. As someone on H1B visa in company leaving won't be easy and you will see zero growth from senior analyst role. The salary hike won't even beat the inflation as they target 2.5 to 3% each year. Your visa sponsorship and GC would be extremely slow like multiple years. Just posting out job and waiting they take 12 months so figure out the time line.
Thank you for your insights!
@00007 can you DM me please? I don’t have chats left
What’s the new TC?
Did you end up taking the offer? If yes, how much?
Koji wtf I see you everywhere man
Same industry i guess
What is the offer? Airlines are actually doing quite well right now with the rebound on travel. Would they sponsor your visa?
Yes, they are willing to do my H1B transfer. Have not checked if they will apply for my GC
We are good with sponsoring visas and GC. We have been doing well demand wise, but no one can predict the future.
