GM said no layoffs 2 weeks ago. They fired 500 this week. Technically not a layoff. They're getting creative.
Mandating relocations and RTOs, subpar performance reviews, reorgs (lots of those at Amex), etc. are all options to get ppl to leave.
So many people were confused this week
