Hi! I have a few APM job postings for Amex in NYC that seem really interesting to me but I'm not very aware of the PM structure within Amex or what the APM actually entails versus the job description. The main one I am looking at would actually be working on Resy. I am currently a project manager at an advertising agency but have experience in retail, food and beverage, production as well as project management. Any insight or a referral would be awesome. TC: 55k π YOE: 1.5 #pm #productmanager #amex
This is a business role, but definitely a very technical role because Amex = banking. (Lots of compliance & testing validation on new features/products to make sure we aren't screwing up people's money). Almost every project involves dependencies with other teams, so things get complex and can move slowly.
Ask for 95k see if you get close to that. Enter Amex on a high salary cuz youβll effed over for a while after that.

What do you think is wrong with a kid who got rejected by 9 colleges?
APM at Amex is Jr. PM with 1-2 yoe. If you have any experience with stakeholder management, backlog feature and story mgmt and Agile methodology, it is good start.
