Which one is better in benefits? Amex Fees : $695 Chase Fees : $550 TC : 200K
You can have both 😉
Yea just get both
Chase because next level is JP Morgan card which requires $10M NW. AMEX next level is Black Card which just requires $200k spending a year.
Amex sucks big glizzy because half of business just don't take it so you never know when you're gonna have to fish for another card
I've had an Amex for 7 years and only had this problem twice ever. Its a common misconception for some reason.
It's because it used to be the case like 10 years ago
I have both. Chase for racking up points from restaurants and travel and Amex for lounge access and hotel perks.
How do you recover the $695 though?
By having higher TC
I’m still holding myself from getting that Am Plat. I travel international quite a bit and Amex is still not the new norm.
Chase is better than AMEX in my opinion. Look at the benefits and see if you can actually get the annual fee back in benefits. $695 for amex might be tough And the $300 travel credit is not for travel booking, rather for the associated costs (seat, luggage) I personally like Venture x because it gives 2x on everything, has lounge access, and you can essentially zero out the annual fee with the travel credit. Cannot do that in amex or chase.
+1 to venture x to recover annual fee, not sure about prestige and other subjective value
Get the capital on venture x
Venture x is ass, only 2x cb while chase gives 5x on travel
5x on travel, 10x on hotel, rentals
For venture x

Amex because membership has its privileges. Plus “Platinum” starts with P, just like “Prestige”.
