talk about someone abusing the system
Ahhh yes because the corporate organizations don’t abuse the system at all.
The guy has leukemia…
And will have received a high (by UK standards) salary for 30 years without working by time he hits 65
And he has leukemia.
On a sick leave, does the company actually pay for it or the Disability insurance pays ? My understanding was, the insurance pays for it and the payment is determined by the pay scale the person is in. If that's the scenario, the person may have a case I think. Tired of seeing these clickbait news titles demonizing one party over another.
This is in the UK, probably the company pays.
I think he is right on his side. Who cares if he can't work and swapped some millions in 15 years.
WTF is a “sickness-and-accident plan”?! Can someone from IBM clarify?!
Entitlement, pure and simple. He can come up with all the 𝚎̶𝚡̶𝚌̶𝚞̶𝚜̶𝚎̶𝚜̶ reasons he wants but the simple fact is that at many companies he would have been discharged and be on long-term disability if he was truly unable to work. He's straight up gaming the system.
And straight up dying of leukemia.
Sad, but not an argument for a company owing him something
Meanwhile MSFT isn’t raising it either while we are at work.
The government should have programs in place to cover any gap with employer pay. It’s tough but he has to find some way to cut costs unfortunately
In the US he would be making meth to pay for his leukemia treatments #BreakingBad
Oh this was hilarious. The audacity is just mind boggling.
