Working in this field I feel like as the years go by it's too niche -- I'm worried that this will reduce the chances of finding a different opportunity or to switch into certain jobs. Is this true? What is a good future career path for Analog designers with 2-3 YOE -- which companies are good and should I consider switching into memory design? 135k tc
Ehhh, memory design can be shaky as well. I wouldn’t suggest going to NSG. If you wanted to enter a better industry space, try networking.

What’s an “analog device”...like designing wrenches?
Analog design is most commonly used for radio frequency devices or analog-> digital or digital -> analog chips. A simple example is a WiFi chip will have some aspects of analog design (the part that goes to the antenna), with some digital registers....it all depends on architecture. Lots of chips nowadays have both digital and analog chunks.
