Analytics vs Product Management

I've been working as a Business Analyst in retail for around 2 years now, with some work in Analytics. I've recently been asked if I'm interested to move to Product Management (no experience in PM) or move to the actual Analytics team.
I know this is my decision about what I like to do, but I'm really okay with anything. My long term goal is to get into Consulting and I'm assuming any option I choose would benefit me (thoughts?).
I'll also probably be getting the same salary raise, no matter which option I choose. Need some help here about what would benefit me more in the long term.

Thanks.

What part of the analytics job do you enjoy the most? What type of work do you naturally do outside the basic scope of analytics?

      1. Data Visualization (Tableau) and some advanced Excel. That's
      2. Outside the Analytics world, currently I'm a part of the Operations team, working on Content Management System for the website. Really don't want to keep doing this.

You can get to do a decent amount of 1 on and off depending on which firm you end up. Right...? @ other PMs??

Analytics is technical and valued, while PMs are replaceable by college new hires. I would stick to skilled labor like analytics for more stability and likely better pay long term.

If you just want out of retail you can easily stay in analytics to do it.

If you’re a PM trying to become a consultant they are going to be confused why you want to take a step down in quality of life and working conditions.

Why would you want to go into consulting after being in industry?

Honestly, don't want to keep working in retail. My background is in Telecommunications Management. Deep down, if I ever get a chance to get into this industry with a managerial role, it'd be tve best.
