So I had a phone interview with Amazon (Annapurna Labs) this week. Interview questions were straight forward and were regarding CDC. They asked to code a FIFO (which I made sure can compile afterwards). After answering every question correctly and with details, I am getting this freaking email that they are not moving forward and won’t provide any feedback. Did any one faced similar experience? This is pretty standard process. Just move on to other companies
Digital Design positions are rare and its hard to just move on when you have done well.
You need to learn how to get over it and move on. That’s for the good.
How much time did you take to solve the question?
Well questions were simple and I was quick.
Probably a position for someone else’s GC application? Happens all the time.
Then why did they interview him?
You need to show that you have interviewed certain number of candidates when you are filing for someones GC. Probably thats why.
Happens all the time. Sad but true. Probably you were already scheduled for the interview steer which they decided against it... So
They stole your stuff.
Yeah, everyone is looking for a new efficient FIFO algorithm.
Who knows what happens at amazon xd
Was this for Austin or Bay area??
Austin
You're making 160k at Intel in Austin now?
Indian?
Why does it matter?
It matters.
You cant expect any company to give you feedback on rejection. May be they got a more eligible candidate with better experience. That is the problem with an easy interview. Everyone does well and end up being a college / past experience based shortlisting
This is nonsense, it should most definitely be expected.
