Is it good choice to buy cyber truck now ?
Considering an offer from them, offers is pretty much same as my current comp, mostly because they don't have annual bonus. I want to find out: 1) how are annual increments for inflation adjustment? 2) how are annual refreshers and what's their vesting schedule?
You're pretty much guaranteed an annual increment for inflation. Anything more is based on your own performance. It ranges from 3% to 30%. Just like anywhere; if you're great at what you do, you'll be rewarded. If not, you won't. Refreshers are in RSU vesting quarterly. More importantly, the culture is great. It will be the best place you've ever worked. Search Square on blind and see for yourself.
This is one thing that so many people have said to me, and I agree to a great extent that people seemed nice. However, I can say the same about my current company. The reason I want to leave is that I feel super underpaid. Now, I want to make sure that Square will be able to fix it, by offering good annual refreshers. As much as I like "great culture" argument, unfortunately it's not quantifiable.
What's your comp at Salesforce and what level are you? I am LMTS at 160k with pittance in RSUs.
100% depends on your team and your manager. I was on the same team for a number of years with zero bumps... In fact , manager lied continuously saying I already made more than the rest of the team members, so I don't need an increase. In 3 years I had only one, minimal refresher.
Obviously, I'm on a different team now...
Square won't be giving refreshers to keep you there beyond four years. Experience and domain knowledge aren't very much valued at the moment. This is pretty heavily discussed on the internal blind channel.
How flexible is the company for WFH? I have a long commute and currently WFH twice a week. From talking to the manager at Square, it did look like company is not very flexible about this.
Depends on the team. Mine is pretty relaxed about this...
+1 team dependent. Which area would you be in?
Sounds like you should try for Microsoft..
Why Microsoft?
OP : I'm exactly in the same boat as you are. What was your decision? Did you take up the offer @square?
Can u share u number and level?
240 total comp with 150 base. Offer is for L5. Square people, is that a good offer. I have 6 years of total experience.
that seems low industry wise for L5
