At this point, it’s starting to feel like the EU has found a lucrative source of revenue and they are trying to milk it as much as they can. When are US companies going to stand against this insanity?
Or Google could, I don’t know, respect EU laws and their customers.
Somebody needs to beat privacy eroding companies over the head when they're mind sucking the world into oblivion. Why not the EU?
The problem with the EU system isn’t their findings, it’s that the process is bullshit. You don’t even have to prove that consumers were impacted for the EU to fine you billions of dollars. At some point, a significant tech company will grow balls and say Europeans are no longer permitted to use their product. Or Trump retaliates with auto tariffs. Either one should have the desired outcome.
Yes, please ban the tech, it will do a world of good😀 People will start protesting on streets instead of fighting in the comments section
Its like always, fight between the old money and the new money, while the rich keeps fighting, the poor public will think democracy is real😀
They are standing up by repealing... What else do you expect Google to do against EU? Invade Poland?
Individual companies appealing isn’t enough. US companies must collectively stand together against EU. I’m sure together they’ll find a way to apply pressure and stop this madness, or at least reduce it.
You were not saying anything when BNP Paribas got fined 8B in the US
I don’t follow news of the financial sector so I haven’t heard of the BNP case and I don’t know the details. But anyway, it sounds like the same shit. Governments milking businesses.
Yeah right. “I haven’t read anything about it, but I have an opinion that I need to blurt out.”
Cuz the EU doesn’t have a tech industry they just tax the US ones
EU provides really good healthcare and retirement benefits. Now I know where all those benefits are coming from.
EU has laws that will find a way to fine any company operating in the EU and any country in the EU. Tax laws, environmental laws, data protection laws etc. They set CO2 emission caps for all EU countries and fine them billions for exceeding their limit. Carmakers will face up to $12bn in fines for missing EU's target to cut CO2 emissions. What do you expect for tech giants? You can't have too much power and not have any repercussions.

They are repaying what the US did to their banks 🤣
Banks are evil corporations that have been hoarding wealth stolen from invaded countries for generations, we need a reset button or countries start paying reparations, return all the resources stolen to the countries
Lol
