Got the news that an SVP had my recruiter put my packet 'on hold' and closed out my application. Passed HC several months ago at L3. Supposedly it wasn't due to interview performance, but due concerns about my preference for my current location, but finally conceding to doing team matching in the Bay Area. Admittedly, I did push my recruiter pretty hard on that despite initially being open to relocation. No word yet on cooldown period or what the interview process might look like if I'm to be reconsidered in the future. My recruiter also said that it wasn't an SVP of a particular organization, but rather something like a round robin process, which runs counter to what I've read so far - that SVP of the organization you've team matched with reviews your packet as a final step. Do applicants tend to get their packets sent for SVP approval before finding a team to match with? I'm entirely confused about what the hell happened, and honestly feeling pretty hard done by. Just looking for some illumination...or commiseration.
Google’s process is so antiquated.
It looks like SVP rejects are quite common now. I conclude it based on blind posts
Such a waste of SVP time.
I don’t understand why SVP would reject applications ?
Yes SVP can review your packet without team matching.
At least you got some reason . I got rejected at FB exec review and nobody told me why :)
Why on hold means rejection? I think you can still ask for team match later?

They already said no. Don’t beg for closure. It’s Google anyways. Nobody likes them now. Internally they’re boiling over and it’s made it’s way to the press. You’re caring about the wrong things. Look for illumination in other parts of your life.
Nobody likes Google?
The location of Intuit HQ really kinda suggests a campus for googler-wannabies
