YouTube removes the like/dislike ratio - you can only see likes now. https://youtu.be/kxOuG8jMIgI Many prominent creators are being vocal about this, we can only hope YouTube listens to them and reverts this stupid decision. Otherwise I hope a new competitor comes up.
Soon we’ll reach a point where it will be a crime to tell your kids no. And if you cps will take your kids away
It's already a crime in some circumstances.
Not really. Unlike the pathetic excuse, the creator’s feeling is still hurt, because the dislike count is still visible. This is mostly about covering azz for Democrats and their MSM propaganda machines.
shit decision, wojcicki should be PIPed Creator can delete comments, dislike button is gone. this is dictatorship
White House was downvoted too much. Can’t handle transparency and truth
And here's one of the many small channels being also vocal against it - https://youtu.be/FwKl5qPdZyc
Brandon doesn’t like dislike
Yeah, I hate this
But I still see dislikes
Probably you're in some small holdout group that they kept after the "feature" is launched.
From where it is removed? App or web? I tried both. Logged in vs incognito. I see dislike everywhere
This is one of the things that are hopefully good for creators but makes viewers lives less convenient. If it does help creators to reduce harassment, I'm all for it. In the end, without creators producing high quality content, we'd have nothing to watch.
It's good for scam / fake news creators, than legitimate videos creators. There are enough small creator who produce excellent tutorials or videos with low production quality, probably recording with a 360p camera. Now more viewers will skip their content and move on to the next - since you can't see the signal on how many people thought the video was helpful.
And this will actually increase harassment in general. This prompts those who want to dislike the video, to do so anyway in the comments section. As we all know comment section can become way more toxic - so this will increase harassment because they removed the most mild form to express a dislike.
YouTube team is cute (will defend you from violent then-girlfriend)
Here's Marques talking about it - https://youtu.be/CaaJyRvvaq8
never watched this guy before but checked out some of his videos and he has some great product sense
