Why do you want an Electrical Engineers opinion on finance? :)
I didn't realize that Blind was exclusively for engineers, electrical or otherwise. I just wanna know if it's a company worth working for.
EEs have a very specific meaning. Did you mean something else in your title?
Culture is very good at Fitbit IMO. Lots of smart people pursuing big ideas in health. Friendly people. Big egos are few (or don't last). Working on cool new software and hardware product keeps it interesting. Work life balance is solid (I'm not on the engineering side of house, so can't speak to their balance). Still has an early stage vibe, but the resources of a bigger company. Many of the standard perks you'd expect at a Bay Area company with some unique ones.
Thanks. The job I'm interviewing for is in finance. Wonder how that team is treated & perceived.
Good work life balance. I know a few nice people in finance. Still a good.place to work. Lots of people leaving at the moment, but we're hiring new people on and they ain't bas
Based on Blind the Fitbit CFO is the most disliked person in the company. The finance department reports to him.
I wouldn’t recommend joining. Also, I’m not sure what perks are being referenced above. We don’t even get lunch anymore.
It’s a moot point now :( After a promising phone interview with the hiring mgr I got the dreaded “thanks but no thanks” email from the recruiter.
Sorry to hear, but consider it a bullet dodged. You will find something great somewhere else. Best of luck!
