Looking to build a full stack application for my business and am hoping there’s a low code type framework I can use to handle a bulk of the overhead work such as security/infrastructure. Already a SWE with decent experience, however don’t want to build the app from scratch. I want to focus on the business logic and build it around that. I’m hoping to avoid spending weeks securing the app. Perhaps there’s a really good stack you can recommend? #engineering #software #swe
Appian, OutSystems
SurveyMonkey 😝 On a serious note : Airtable FileMaker
Forrester rating is such garbage. If you listened to their ratings you’d think IBM, Oracle, and GE are the best software companies on the planet.
Maybe you can’t see it, but products from companies like IBM, Oracle and GE run everywhere and most of your life depends on it.
Heroku
AWS API gateway + Lambda + CloudFront
Based and $0-pilled
NextJS for full stack

Use things like Firebase for Auth
+1 love firebase’s Auth to getting something up in a jiffy.
I used Retool a bit. It’s great for getting a little prototype or internal tool up. Basically it lets you hook up a simple table interface with permissions to any SQL query or even API call. It’s not gonna look pretty but it’ll get the point across
