#covid-19 #coronavirus Edit: It would be great if you could share what you do in your free time.
Iโm sorry but is everybody here a baby? Lonely, anxious, depressed, wth? Because youโve been working from home for two weeks? (What a privilege and luxury) How would you all deal with real hardship? Like a war? Would you all kill yourselves?
You can be helpful and share some tips!
I donโt think comments like this are productive. I think some people suffer from loneliness generally, and thatโs totally ok. Normally, the time can be filled, and right now itโs more pronounced. Also, this time might highlight the fact that you might live alone and are single while other people are quarantining with someone theyโre in a relationship with. Donโt judge others for expressing loneliness. Everyone feels lonely every so often and it doesnโt mean theyโre a baby.
No. There's a great meme about quarantine = normal daily routine. As an introvert, I'm more irritated by all the demands to use a webcam in meetings. Closely followed by being irritated by an increase in meetings that should have been an email. Puzzles -books- annual training to maintain certs- plotting out my veggie garden to get outside a bit. DnD by group chat. Nethack.
I read a lot and talk to friends and family. Definitely not lonely.
There is some suffering in every war, soldier.
I'm pretty anti-social, so I'm not so bothered by the change, and I'm used to spending time at home. Activities that I do : * walking and playing with my dogs * playing piano * video games * D&D over group chat (tried this for the first time, it worked out pretty well) * designed a new WFH desk. Gonna build it if I can get parts * coding on personal projects. Try making a small game or something and put it up on github. * I've been into randomizers for NES and SNES games lately. That's fun and frustrating. * yard work * house improvements * watch TV
Most of the folks have now spent enough time to digest what social distancing means. Now that the reality is accepted, need creative ways to occupy yourself through this for one more quarter, thinking long term than short term.
Agree!
