Keeps asking me for looking at their job opportunities for five times in three months. Never responded, are they desperate?
Me too
I too got it. Once you reply, recruiter will be involved and he/she will take over from there
The email you get is probably from andyf@doordash.com. No way the CTO didn't have andy@doordash.com. Seems like that's the email all of their recruiting team uses.
Doordash took a down round previously, there's no reason their latest round should have happened. I don't believe in them and VCs are just throwing money at any delivery service atm.
Yes delivery service is the new groupon
Says the company holding on to a delivery service called Caviar
I replied, recruiter followed up with a phone call, promised to schedule interview, then ghosted me. It's probably a mass email so I would say, just ignore it. It's not worth your time.
Itโs a bot
Doordash took a down round a while back. After that, the growth has been exponential and our current valuation justifies the growth.
Exponential growth is easy to hit when numbers are low
Easy to grow by not making profit. Just discount the service enough you will users. But finding people willing to pay a fair price is another ballgame
Can someone please help me to understand? Is Andy Fang famous ๐? Why would recruiter use his name to do recruiting? Or is it just to make someone feel special because some CTO contacted you? His background is not that impressive so whatโs special about using his name? Thanks
Good question, was wondering the same.
Probably the fact that heโs CTO. Makes the person receiving the email feel more special
