Goldman Sachs is doing a major layoff next week and wanted to see if what criteria/ pattern was used in 2008 to layoff employees?
i heard they balled out in tropical places from the severance and earnings saved up
Huh? GS lays off 10% every year no? They just stopped for COVID season
5 not 10
so 10 to make up for covid?
I heard GS is the only company which was positioned well in 2008, not sure if they did the layoffs then. I know that they didn’t give bonuses/raises since noone in the industry was giving despite they weren’t in bad position.
Not without Buffet investment for which 2 major industry figures went down the drain for insider trading :)
Madoff still gave bonuses 🤣
2008 was really bad .3 round of layoffs All contractors let go or moved to india
All the interview calls that i got are from banking sector this week
what role? sw eng? finance?
