You'll talk to a lead that hasn't seen a technical challenge in years. If you make a good impression they'll recommended hire without verifying your skills. That's it, then you're in the churn until you're not. Hope that helps.

Can verify that’s basically what happens. There’s very little standardization so there’s a small chance you get an interviewer like me who might ask a very simple coding question just to verify the person actually knows how to write code. Most interviewers I know don’t even ask coding questions though. Sometimes you’ll get a data scientist interviewing a SWE. Or a SWE interviewing a DevOps candidate (etc.). Tbh it’s kind of a joke
