Hey Gang, My father in law was recently laid off. Without doxing him since he does have a non disclosure and requirement to work a couple of additional months at his current gig to get his severance. He's worked as a VP of sales for an international brand ($1.2B annual sales) you would find on grocery stores (negotiating contracts with Walmart, Publix, Cruise Lines, Disney, Universal, Hotel chains, Gas Stations, etc) most of his career. More recently he's worked at a company that focuses on ingredients sales, think customizing/formulating to the customer's needs and then providing easily portion packaged ingredients (think like cookie/cake mixes you get in the grocery store, but also at a larger scale for bakeries, slushy bars, etc). He is/was VP of sales and took them through an acquisition, which is why the sudden change. He has had a high amount of travel (almost weekly) most of his career, so open to a job that requires travel, but looking for remote work. My wife and I are expecting our first child & their first grandkid so relocation isn't desirable right now. Thanks in advance for any leads Blind might have. I know this is primarily a software site so I'm not super optimistic this is a great place to start, but any leads would be appreciated. Blind Tax TC 300k #sales
There was a guy posting here that they're hiring at St microelectronics. Sounds like your dad has manufacturing experience (albeit food) but I'd try that. Gl
Thanks!
