Anyone here building a product or services marketplace?
I would love to hear from other people that are building a product and services marketplace. What are some of the issue you found while building your marketplace?
Channel partners and working with their proocurement cycles
I also struggle coming up with strategies on which aisles to places what products. You have endless permutations and can’t a/b test forever...
I actually have both but am not technical enough to do it hands on myself ;)
Friends, What is the best scalable platform for building a marketplace(multiple vendors signup, multiple buyers), where vendors sign up for services? We tried building Shopify marketplace add on from a template - data doesn't get stored on our end and we cannot do a lot of API integrations. I want to be able to save data on our servers and my team is dotnet core/angular-react. Please suggest, if you have insights. We don't want to build from scratch due to lack of strong UX teams and need to get to market faster. Though Shopify had a lot of marketing integrating solutions such as fb, linkedin, etc.
The hardest thing about a marketplace is solving both sides of supply and demand simultaneously. Users who buy the services won't sign up until there are vendors and vice versa. Priming the engine is usually quite difficult.
