I am an enterprise account exec. Our comp is $100k base/ $100k commission, with small amount of equity. Glassdoor underpays compared to many in the Bay. Would love to know how other companies' comp looks and, yes, I can go to Glassdoor and research, but interested in hearing from folks and having a dialogue.
200k is not underpaid, even for the bay.
Underpay is relative - if every company overpays then someone will be underpaying even though that company is overpaying. So the question is whether the position demands that much - not comparative but qualitative , quantitative and objective. If you think you are being underpaid you are always welcome to move to the overpayers :) , you stick to a company for its culture, team and mission :)
$200k does seem low for sales even though I'm not in sales I thought you all got paid a lot more.
Our culture, team, and mission are pretty strong, used to be better, but still well above average - and we do have some flexibility to work from home so it's a pretty good setup. Over-performers can make well above this amount. If any sales folks are out there, would love to hear from you. Thanks.
Hopefully this starts to put a little perspective on the whining from sales....
how flexible is glassdoor about letting their sales reps work from home? can you work from home at least 50% of the time without management getting on your case?
Hi there. At Microsoft, we pay our sales force at least 50% more for their base. Your target bonus is really good. If you hit your numbers at Microsoft, you're usually making about $215k. Factor in stock grants and you're in the $240-$250 range. If you're over 100% attainment, multipliers start kicking in and you're now closer to $300k.
One thing to add is that there are many sales roles in our org so compensation will differ accordingly.
Are your numbers for AE?
Ha! So people from Glassdoor look out for the REAL numbers on Blind!
I find the salary data to be low on our site, candidly
what do you sell for glassdoor ?
Good question
We sell recruitment solutions - job postings, employer branding, data on employee sentiment trends, competitor benchmarking, etc
